Manual of Requirements for autotuning (AT)

2017/1/23

Autotuning (AT) is the function of automatically measuring, computing and setting the optimum PID constants. The requirements for autotuning (AT) start and suspension are described in the following.

When AT is executed, the optimum PID constants for the set point at that time are set automatically.

When the following cases, the PID control will not arrive the expected control purpose
1. When the set temperature is not constant and is changed in a wide range
2. When there are large variations in ambient temperatures due to factors such as seasonal changes or differences between day and night temperatures
3. When there are large variations in ambient wind conditions and air flow
4. When heater characteristics change depending on the temperature
5. When an actuator with disproportional I/O, such as a phase-control-type power regulator, is used
6. When a rapidly heating heater is used
7. When the control object or sensor has much loss time
8. When hunting occurs in normal mode for any reason
When the above cases, set the  Integral value 0
