STEP 1Connect to the Device Hotspot

  1. Power on the instrument and place your phone near the unit.
  2. Open your phone's Wi-Fi list and connect to the hotspot that begins with KC_.
  3. Open a browser and go to http://192.168.4.1.

STEP 2Configure Network Settings

  1. Enter your Wi-Fi SSID and password. Ensure the instrument and the communication software are on the same LAN.
  2. Set Operating Mode to "Client Mode." Use DHCP unless a fixed network configuration is required.

STEP 3Save Settings

Click Submit to apply and save settings.
To re-enter setup mode, set the LOCK password to 128, power cycle the instrument, and then repeat Step 1.

STEP 4Start KingCreate TCP Communication Software

After startup, the software automatically detects and connects to the instrument. Manual selection is not required. Sample screens are provided below.

  1. Configure the instrument Wi-Fi connection. Ensure the instrument and Modbus Poll are on the same LAN.
  2. Set Operating Mode to "Server Mode" and assign a static IP address that does not conflict with other devices.

STEP 3Save Settings

Click Submit to apply and save settings.
To re-enter setup mode, set the LOCK password to 128, power cycle the instrument, and then repeat Step 1.

STEP 4Configure Modbus Poll

  1. In Modbus Poll, select "Setup" > "Read/Write Definition."
  2. In the "Read/Write Definition" dialog, set the following:
    • Slave ID: Instrument Modbus slave address (default: 1).
    • Function: The required Modbus function code, for example, "Read Holding Registers" (03).
    • Address: The starting register address, for example, 4097 (Channel 1 measured value). Refer to the instrument register map for details.
    • Quantity: Number of registers to read (for example, 1), based on the data type and length.
    • Click "OK" to save.

  3. Return to the main screen, then select "Connection" > "Connect."
    • Type: Select "TCP/IP" as the connection type.
    • IP Address: Instrument IP address (must match Step 2).
    • Port: Instrument port number (must match Step 2).
    • Response Timeout: 300 ms (default: 1000 ms).
    • Delay between polls: 300 ms (default: 100 ms).
    • Click "OK" to save.

  4. After the connection is established, Modbus Poll displays live instrument data for monitoring and analysis.
